DELE DIPLOMA INTERMEDIO / INTERMEDIATE LEVEL DELE (LEVEL B2) This accredits sufficient linguistic ability to cope in average day-to-day situations in normal communicative circumstances which do not require specialized use of the language. Academically it attest that the beholder has gained the proficiency demanded by a pre-superior education standard such as that of a technician. Professionally, it certifies that the recipient can act in day to day situations and perform routine tasks with a certain autonomous extent even though he/she may require help from a native speaker from time to time. The test is made up of the following parts:

Reading comprehension

Candidates must be able to read authentic texts, primarily informative and of general interest (instruction manuals, pamphlets, newspapers, etc.). Candidates will select the right answer to 12 multiple-choice questions, on 4 texts, each of which will be no longer than 450 words.

Written expression

60 minutes
|
They must carry out two tasks: the first is to write a letter on one of two topics. The second is to write a composition of a narrative, descriptive or discursive nature. Each exercise should be between 150 and 200 words long.

Listening comprehension

30 minutes
|
Candidates must be able to understand factual information (news, a conversation, an interview, a set of instructions, etc.). Candidates will answer 12 multiple choice questions on a 4 oral text (recordings).

Grammar and Vocabulary

60 minutes
|
Candidates will carry out the following two exercises: a. Fill in the gaps (20 spaces): candidates must choose the most appropriate option from the three given for each blank space. b. They must fill the gaps in 40 short dialogues with the best option.

Oral expression

10-15 minutes
|
Candidates are evaluated individually and must be able to discuss, explain and express opinions. They take part in a dialogue with the examiner, based on visual and written stimuli.
